Galileo VR – The Life, the Discoveries, the Trial narrates the famous and emblematic figure of Galileo Galilei, his life and revolutionary discoveries. It is an immersive virtual reality (VR) 360° video in three main acts, the first introducing the character, the second dedicated to some of his main discoveries and finally the last years of his life including trial and conviction by the Inquisition.

The narrating voice is Galileo’s, so we are in the shoes of the great scientist and astronomer, retracing our story and discoveries.
The goals set for the project were to combine creativity with a deep and rigorous humanistic and scientific content, to render memorable the educational and entertaining experience.


The narration is inspired by Galileo’s writings and is assembled to create an engaging story. Galileo VR, a 360° VR video, is built for standalone VR headsets. To maximize the number of users and the product’s accessibility to an international audience, Galileo VR has been produced in nine languages: Italian, English, Japanese, Spanish, German, French, Chinese, Arabic, and Russian.
